Much Ado About Nothing is a romantic comedy created by none other than William Shakespeare. The play is centered around the antics of two couples as they experience the woes of love. To capture the atmosphere of this play, the poster uses type manipulation to show just how tricky eavesdropping is. The romantic nature of the slab serif typeface contrasts nicely with the gritty texture of the window.
This is then accented with script and condensed typefaces to let the headline shine. The words dip in and out of the bars of the window, bringing the concept of hiding and eavesdropping together. The borders are accented with flourishes as a call back to the romantic nature of the play.
