For this assignment, I was tasked to create a portrait photograph. While photographing my subject, I was unable to access a studio environment and had to improvise. The model stands in dim lighting, as only half of his face is lit. The goal of this piece was to showcase the difference in textures from the clay mask and skin, as the void surrounding the model highlights the cracks in the clay from his expression, a result of his emotional state.
